Today is Day 2,
*We had a good turnout for the Family Night at the Bookfair. Thanks to all of the staff members for helping.
*System wide Tornado Drill is this Friday. Please make sure your students are familiar with the procedures before then.
***Very Important: Teachers, please use the information below in green to update your bus numbers. Many buses have changed. It will eliminate confusion on the bus lot. Let's hope there are no more changes.
***Please do not park at the Polo Rec. Center. We are no longer allowed
to use those parking spaces.
***Thanks to all who help and stay late with our buses. You guys are wonderful!
***Teachers remember to call ahead if you are sending students to the 200 building. Make sure students know to come to the door nearest the office and not the door nearest the gym.

Don't forget to follow Speas on Twitter to get updates and reminders.
Gentle Reminders:
* When planning and executing field trip plans, please keep in mind that it is against policy to require parents to accompany students on trips. We cannot exclude students from trips for behavior, or inability to pay.
*During the winter months please pay very close attention to the temperature before taking students outside to play. The guideline we use is that outside play is safe when the temperature is between 32-90 degrees. It is also important to consider the wind chill factor. You can peruse the following websites for ideas:

Teachers have also been known to use youtube dance videos with students. Please remember to always preview any web-based activities.
Bus Update:
There has been some confusion about bus numbers lately, especially when there is a sub. Please update all of your bus records to reflect the following changes if you have not already done so:
Bus 738 has been replaced by 474
Bus 136 has been replaced by 465
Bus 755 has been replaced by 223
Bus 784 has been replaced by 182
