Nov. 21

Welcome to the Buzz Blog

Speas Bees get hands on!

Our Mission: It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

Announcements:

*Someone is leaving the 200 building workroom window open overnight.  Please let the office know if you see anything, or know anything.  This is a huge safety concern.*

Thanks to everyone who stayed to help with Movie Night.

Don't forget to nominate someone for our CEY!

Teachers we are seeing a lot of students in the office from common areas: Hallway, Cafeteria and Playground.  Please review your expectations with your students before you leave your classrooms. Monitor students closely.  If students cannot handle unstructured recess then you may want to consider structuring your recess time and slowly letting them earn free play back.  Remember, teachers should be actively monitoring students in the cafeteria while they are in the lunch line and when they are lining up to leave.

SR is looking for gently used items to use in the school store for holiday shopping.  Items like coffee mugs, tea, coffee, regifts, or anything that kids can buy as gifts for their families.

New Faces:

Ms. Perkins and Mr. Copeland are the two newest members of the family.  Ms. Perkins is working as an assistant in SR's room.  Mr. Copeland is our new 1st Grade assistant.
