It's a great video, an excellent teaching tool.

International Dot Day is Sept. 15th.  Consider joining 64 other nations and adding a Speas contribution to the global arena.   The link to the handbook is below.

Thanks to Ryabova for sending us this video of great ideas for global activities at Speas.

Announcements

Our 3rd Graders are testing today.  Please be very quiet as you move through the hallways.

Please make sure all blinds are lowered and closed at the end of each day.  Please make sure all classroom doors are locked at the end of each day.  Please make sure you are putting up the chairs in your classrooms so the custodians can sweep and mop.  Thank you.

Make sure to get started on your GSN module 1 year 2. Log in is the same as last year. Everyone will need to do their GSN this year.

All staff members, let's make sure we are teaching, reteaching, and teaching again the procedures in the common areas (Hallway, Cafeteria, Bathrooms, Playground, Bus).  We should be giving out lots of Bee's for students demonstrating the basic expectations.  It is a good idea to review the procedures before you leave one area to travel to another area.

SMOD Tickets (dress code violations) are located in the workroom.  Please keep the bottom portion for your own records as a way to keep track of the number of violations.  The continuum is as follows:

1st offense: verbal warning, and letter will be sent home to be signed.  Parent or guardian notified of violation
2nd offense: Teacher notifies parent or guardian and student is removed from class until proper SMOD is delivered.

Grade levels, please email Johnson with dates, times, and locations for all Field Trips by Monday, September 15th.  Thank you.

Teachers If you have not already done so Mr. McMasters needs  the names of those students that have not turned in the new Technology agreement form signed by their parents. He needs those names as soon as possible. For those that have turned in the form signed by a parent, you can file this form in the back of the cum folder.
