Today is Day 5.

We will attempt to put all Speas news and events in this one central location so everyone is on one accord.
My fingers are crossed that this will work. 

1. 2nd Grade will be going on a Field Trip today to Ardmore Moravian for the Candle Tea at 10:00 AM. 
2. We have started our coin collection drive for the families affected by Hurricane Sandy.  There will be containers set up in the building.  They should be available in the gym starting today.  We will update when we get more information.
3. Thursday December 6 is Papa Murphy's Pizza Night for Speas.  If you can come out and support us that would be great.  Papa Murphy is giving 10% of the proceeds from that night to Speas.
4. Thursday December 6 is also Parent Power Night.  The school system has some really fun and informative things for parents to do.

Here’s the schedule:

5:30 to 6:15 p.m. – Registration and dinner

6:15 to 7:45 p.m. – School-age children will participate in The Polar Express Pajama Party. They are, indeed, welcome to wear pajamas. After an opening session, parents will be able to choose from a number of educational sessions.

 “Stress Busters for Families – Penny Hazen

“How to Survive the Teenage Years” – Angie Diaz 

“College and Career READY” (for parents of high school students)

7:45 to 8:15 p.m. – Holiday Celebration

8:15 to 8:30 – Closing with door prizes and a “Holiday Surprise.”

   

It will held at the Education Building on Bethania Station Road. 

5. We are having our Parent Night on December 13th.  Time TBA.

6. On Monday, December 17th we will have a special treat during lunch from our fantastic PTA.

7. On Tuesday, December 18th, our Speas Family Christmas celebration will take place in the Media Center at 3:00 PM.  

     Mr. Tutttle and Mr. Cokely will be providing the entertainment.
